Astringent is similar to as toner and it is used after washing your face to get your skin deeply cleansed. It removes the excess oil and makes you feel fresh for long hours. I prefer it to be used in summer season while going outside. This DIY parsley and peppermint astringent recipe is great for the summer because it will help you getting rid of the dirt and oil while cooling your skin as peppermint contains the cooling properties.

This recipe will be prepared in 2 cups so it will last for months. It depends on your choice that you use it every day as needed. This recipe is free from preservatives so you can store it in the refrigerator for a week.

You will need:
  • Distilled water 2 cups
  • Chopped parsley ¼ cup
  • Chopped fresh peppermint leaves ¼ cup
  • Peppermint essential oil 5 drops

How to use:

First, wash your face and apply this astringent to your face and neck with the help of a cotton pad. At last, you can use facial moisturizer. Shake the astringent well before using it. The remaining part should be stored in the fridge.

2. Cucumbers naturally tighten and firm under eye skin

Cucumber has a natural property to tighten and firm your skin. Also, it refreshes the skin pores. Apply this under the puffy eyes and fine lines and wrinkles visible anywhere on your face.
